After I leave today, I'll turn another year older before I come back to dA. That's a little cool-sounding to me, but it's a little sad since I won't get to hear from a lot of my friends that day (since I can't be online that day, I can't hear from you guys if you message me. That and my IRL friends probably won't even text me. What's up with that shit, eh?).
But I'm not really dwelling on my birthday too much. I mean, I am super-unbelievably happy that I won't be a teenager anymore, but the big party, tons of gifts thing isn't me (now the good dinner, great cake, even better ice cream is totally on the list, but I can still do without those if I have to). But, for the hell of it, here's my list of things I want for my birthday.
But enough about my birthday. I've made a decision about my latest series, The Listener.
It just has so much potential, and for pieces that I have high hopes for, I tend not to put them online for fear of stealing. So, over the next week, I'm going to streamline the chapters, probably omitting a few, to create a preview of the story without giving it all away (well -ish. The end is kind of the best part, other than the middle and maybe the beginning
).
So, if you're eagerly-awaiting updates to The Listener, give me some time...and if you have any references to publishers, I'm totally open.
Seriously, if you know publishers who might be interested in some young naive girl like me, let me know. I think I'm ready to start venturing into professional writing, i.e. published writing, but I need to figure out what's out there first, and who might be looking for me.

Random Update and Shameless Art Promotion
I just felt like writing a journal today, just something simple. It's starting to get cooler here, so numerous places are still running their air conditioning despite the good temperatures. So while I'm trapped inside staring at the gorgeous day outside my window (well, the only window I have right now just looks out into the building itself:grump: I want to see the sun:rage:), I get to freeze to death. Thank you lovely maintenance people; you make my :censored: day.

Surgery Fun
My father had back surgery last Wednesday so life has been rather fun for me. I cut two of my classes to come home and take care of things, but they didn't get home until the next evening. He had to be admitted to the hospital, which I didn't find out until after 8 o'clock the first night, and they didn't release him until after 8 the next night (my mom was with him the entire time, which is why I couldn't find anything out for so long). Summer's Over--boo
I hope everyone had a great summer. I'm finally back from my seemingly infinite break. Believe me, I loved sleeping until 10:30 and playing computer/video games and spending time with my boyfriend. But two whole months of being in the house all day with just those things to do (and my boyfriend had class all summer so I'd have to wait for him to come home at five with my mom because his dad refused to fix their car....). I'm really surprised I didn't go crazy, to be honest with you. It's nice but I'm glad to be back. Gone for the summer
I've actually been around for the last few weeks, but I have been SWAMPED with work. After today--hopefully--, I'll be off for the summer, with 2 quick A's from my classes. It's been difficult, and I'm so exhausted right now, but at least it's almost over.
I will be on hiatus until August.
Hopefully I'll get to produce some art this summer, but we'll see. I've got a few novels I want to work on, but I have a few computer games on their way, so I might do that instead. Or I might have to get a job--we'll see.
I wish I was a little more active on here, but things happen. Hopefully all of you will be around when I come back in August. I can't

Have you tried the Sims Medival? I think its awesome. Its my favorite one to date and I've been playing the Sims since the very first one came out.
